Noah’s Ark Children’s Venture is a charity that offers rural getaways for groups of children, has received a £500 donation from the Pavers Foundation. The Pavers Foundation made the donation on behalf of Sharon King, a Pavers colleague from Lechlade who applied through the employee-led, charitable giving scheme.
The 18 acres of mixed woodland in the Cotswolds that make up Macaroni Wood, has been run by Noah’s Ark Children’s Venture for 50 years, and gives groups of visiting children the chance to immerse themselves in nature and wildlife. Sarah Robinson, the Charity Lead, thanked the Pavers Foundation for the donation, while stating their hopes to continue to enrich the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children and young people, adding, ‘this generous donation will continue to help our guests develop skills that they wouldn’t normally have access to’.
Sharon, who previously worked as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, was inspired to help Noah’s Ark as she understands some of the challenges children with additional needs may face. Sharon added, ‘charities like Noah’s Ark are so valuable especially for disadvantaged kids and children with disabilities. It’s so important to try and help these children and set them on the right path in life’.
