Men's Shed - Antrim

The Pavers Foundation has made a donation of £500 to Antrim's Men's Shed on behalf of Amanda Leslie and Jason Molloy, Pavers colleagues based in Antrim.

Men’s Shed Antrim, part of Action Mental Health the leading charity transforming lives and promoting mental wellbeing across Northern Ireland, is open to men aged 60 and over. Members of Men’s Shed Antrim get to participate in many activities from joinery and photography to gardening and music. The Shed is a place for this community to share their skills, learn from others, or to just be able to have a social space to combat loneliness.

John Davis, Service Manager at Action Mental Health, thanked the Pavers Foundation said; “This donation will contribute to enhancing our services and activities at the Antrim Men’s Shed. It will help to address loneliness and isolation for our clients, by supporting social, educational and recreational activities aimed at improving engagement and connectedness”.

The cause was brought to the attention of Amanda at Pavers Antrim by some of the stores regular visitors. On why they chose to support Antrim’s Men’s Shed Amanda and Jason said: “Some of our store regulars have told us how their poor mental health has been helped through attending the Men’s Shed and we thought this would be a great opportunity to support and give back to the local community”.
