MAGPAS

The Pavers Foundation has donated £1,000 to Magpas Air Ambulance service.  The Foundation donated the money on behalf of Nicola Jones, a colleague from Pavers Huntingdon.

From its first rescue operations in 1971 Magpas Air Ambulance Service has treated and cared for over 60,000 patients. Magpas services the East of England and last year responded to 1,335 emergency calls.

Emma Saunders, Community and Events Officer at Magpas thanked Pavers Foundation and said ‘It’s wonderful to have this support from our local branch of Pavers and the Pavers Foundation. This donation will be put to good use, saving lives throughout Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and beyond!'

Nicola thought to support Magpas, her local air ambulance service, after seeing them fly over her home many times. Also telling us that two regular customers at Pavers Huntingdon are Magpas employees. Nicola said ‘Magpas are an organisation that might go under the radar until you need them, what they do is so inspiring’. Having had known of two friends that have needed the use of an air ambulance service in the past has made Nicky realise that anyone may need air ambulance assistance at some point in their lives.
