A donation of £500 to Lincolnshire Community Health Service in Skegness has been made on behalf of successful applicant Sally Scase, Manager of Pavers Skegness. Sally wanted to donate to the charity, to help support those patients who rely on the palliative care unit.
The small hospital, made up of 2 wards, offers palliative as well as rehabilitation care. Samantha Daley of the Scarbrough ward said, “On behalf of the Scarbrough ward we would like to thank the Pavers Foundation for the kind donation of £500 towards our palliative and rehabilitation patients. This will make a big difference to the ward and our patients experience”.
After seeing a number of family members use the unit, Sally wanted to help give back to the nurses and patients by gifting a donation to be used on improving some of the facilities and for the purchase of some Christmas spirit in the form of decorations and gifts for the patients. Sally said: “It would mean so much if we could help, no one should not have to leave this world in a lonely place, people should be surrounded by joy and laughter”.
